Tennessee football is wearing its all white “stormtrooper” uniforms for its regular season finale at Vanderbilt on Saturday afternoon. It’s the fourth time this season that the Vols are wearing this uniform combination.
The Vols also wore their all white uniforms in its neutral site win over North Carolina State, its road win at Oklahoma and its road loss at Georgia. The only road game that Tennessee hasn’t worn these uniforms this season was in its loss at Arkansas.

Tennessee has worn six different uniform combinations in just 11 games this season. They Vols are 4-0 in their traditional home uniforms, 2-1 in their stormtrooper uniforms, 1-0 in their orange jerseys on orange pants, 1-0 in their dark mode uniforms, 1-0 in their Smokey Grey uniforms and 0-1 in their white jerseys and orange pants.

Vanderbilt has yet to announce its uniforms for the regular season finale but the Commodores have a number of different combinations they could wear since they have black and gold jerseys, pants and helmets on top of white helmets and pants.
The instate rivalry game has more juice and ramifications around it than his has in a number of years. A large reason why is that Tennessee enters the matchup 9-2 (5-2 SEC) and is a win away from punching its ticket to the 12-team College Football Playoff.
But Vanderbilt is a much more formidable foe then they’ve been in recent seasons. Clark Lea’s fourth Vanderbilt team has taken a major step forward this season thanks in large part due to the play of transfer quarterback Diego Pavia. The Commodores are 6-5 (3-4 SEC) heading into the regular season finale and are a win away from one of their best seasons in program history.
Kickoff between Tennessee and Vanderbilt at FirstBank Stadium in Nashville is at noon ET on Saturday afternoon. Dave Pasch, Dusty Dvoracek and Taylor McGreggor are on the call for ABC.
