In late October, Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz was caught on camera throwing out multiple expletives directed at Alabama after a personal foul was called against Mizzou quarterback Brady Cook.
Drinkwitz was once again caught on Saturday and this one was worse.
With Missouri up 39-20 on SEC last-place Mississippi State and less than two minutes remaining in the game, Drinkwitz seemingly threatened the idea of running up the score while trolling the Mississippi State fans in Starkville.
The television cameras and microphones didn’t pick up Drinkwitz’s words but the internet came to a quick consensus on what it was: “Hey Mississippi State, shut the f*** up or I’m gonna score.”

More from RTI: More SEC Chaos Strikes On Saturday Night: Here’s What It Means For Tennessee Football

A really bad look for Drinkwitz and Missouri.
You’re already up by 19 points on a team that doesn’t even have a win in the SEC this season. Even more, the Tigers’ offense was firmly sitting just six feet away from the endzone and the clock was ticking down to zero. And you’re threatening a home crowd to be quiet?
Missouri did not end up scoring and won 39-20, but the idea that Drinkwitz felt the need to stoop that low in a 19-point win on a 2-8 SEC team is pretty telling.
Especially considering the expletives-ridden incident against Alabama earlier in the season.
There’s history between Drinkwitz and Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel, who is longtime friends with Mississippi State head coach Jeff Lebby. Heupel was a graduate assistant at Oklahoma while Lebby was a quarterback there and also hired Lebby as quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator while at UCF.
“A guy that I have more respect for than maybe anybody in the profession,” Lebby said of Heupel in early November. “A great friend and somebody that has been a great mentor to me. I had the opportunity to work for him and it was an incredible experience. A guy that’s incredibly consistent and you look at what he’s done, the amount of success he’s had, the culture he’s created at an incredible place. A ton of respect for who he is as a person, as a father, as a husband and then obviously, as a football coach, as well.”
Missouri quarterback Brady Cook threw for 268 yards and one touchdown in the Tigers’ win over the Bulldogs on Saturday in Starkville. Cook’s passing and a fumble recovery from the defense helped Missouri land the 39-20 victory.
The Tigers jumped out to a 28-13 lead at halftime, scoring 11 points to Mississippi State’s seven in the second half of play. Missouri moves to 8-3 with the win while Mississippi State falls to 2-9.
Missouri’s win over Mississippi State didn’t create any chaos around the league but other team’s results certainly did. To see how a wild Saturday in college football impacted Tennessee’s playoff chances, click here.
