After a tough loss in Athens on Saturday night, Volunteer fans may resonate with the behavior of the Tennessee fan in this week’s sketch from SEC Shorts.
The top teams in the country met atop a tree house to discuss last week’s games, and the Vol fan was certain to make his frustration known by going directly at other schools like Indiana and Penn State.
Tennessee suffered its second loss of the season in a 31-17 fight that saw Georgia come out on top. The Vols put together a fantastic start, getting out to the early 10-0 lead and playing one of their better first halves of the last few games. Sanford Stadium was just too much for the Vols in the second half as Georgia looked solid and was able to pull away.
As this week’s short mentions, the Vols are not out of the college football playoffs by any means, but this loss will hurt their chances as it moves them to one of five other two-loss SEC teams. All Tennessee fans will surely be rooting for as many losses as possible from their SEC counterparts, along with some big defeats down the stretch across the Big 10.
