No. 11 Tennessee eclipsed the 100-point mark for the first time this season with a 103-68 win over Austin Peay on Sunday afternoon in Knoxville.
Tennessee had nine players score on Sunday with Tennessee forward Igor Milicic Jr. leading the way with 23 points on an impressive 11-of-14 shooting from the floor. Milicic also nearly recorded his second straight double-double as he finished the game with nine rebounds.
Tennessee guard Zakai Zeigler also came up just short of a double-double with 19 points on 7-of-8 shooting and eight assists on the day.
Milicic and Zeigler made up two of Tennessee’s six double-digit scorers in the Vols’ 35-point win from the Food City Center. Jordan Gainey recorded 15, Cade Phillips scored 13, Felix Okpara had 12, and Jahmai Mashack put up 10.
After the game, Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes and a pair of players met with the media to discuss their reactions to the game on Sunday. Barnes was followed by Tennessee guard Jahmai Mashack and Tennessee forward Cade Phillips.
