Tennessee women’s basketball inked three blue-chip recruits this week during the early signing period. But that was just the start to Kim Caldwell and the Lady Vols’ big week on the recruiting trail.
Five-star wing Jaida Civil committed to the Lady Vols on Friday afternoon becoming the fourth commit in Caldwell’s first recruiting class in Knoxville.

The blue-chip recruit is the second five-star to commit to Tennessee this week after five-star wing Deniya Prawl committed to the Lady Vols on Monday. Both Civil and Prawl visited Tennessee for the weekend of the Florida football game last month.
Tennessee now holds commitments from four top 60 recruits in the 2025 recruiting cycle including Prawl (No. 10), Mia Pauldo (No. 13), Civil (No. 23) and Mya Pauldo (No. 53). LSU is the only school that has more top 25 recruits nationally committed.
The 2025 recruiting cycle is Caldwell’s first full class as Tennessee basketball’s head coach. The Lady Vols are off to a 2-0 start early in Caldwell’s tenure with blowout wins over outmatched Samford and UT Martin. Tennessee is back in action on Tuesday night when they face MTSU at Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center.
