With the second edition of the College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday night, the SEC Shorts crew took to the outdoors and showed people what it would be like if the rankings were a nature documentary. With the classic narration style of a documentary, the SEC’s best were tasked with building their resumes for the 12-team playoff. While all Vol fans know their chances to make the playoffs, the crew was still certain to poke fun at the optimistic Tennessee fan and their attempt at proving themselves worthy of the playoff.
With seven SEC teams having two or fewer in-conference losses, a trip to the postseason playoffs seems possible for several fanbases. These mid-season installments of the playoff standings give a good insight into what the committee will use to determine their final rankings.
Tennessee sits atop the SEC with only one loss, and their road to a playoff berth runs through Athens this Saturday. Quarterback Nico Iamaleava’s status remains uncertain but we could see some clarity with the injury report coming out on Wednesday night. For other fan bases, they spent the video attempting to hide some bad losses and maintain a solid footing.
