Tennessee running back Dylan Sampson appeared to suffer an injury during an offensive drive in the second quarter of Saturday night’s game against Mississippi State.

Sampson went down with what appeared to be a lower-body injury after a first-down run with 1:43 remaining in the second quarter.

Sampson was slow to get up but gingerly made his way off the field without assistance from the trainers. The Tennessee running back went to the trainer’s tent on the sideline before making his way back to the locker room as halftime was just moments away.

We’ll see what Sampson’s status looks like when Tennessee starts the second half on offense.
