CHATTANOOGA, Tn. — Tennessee baseball cancelled game one of its Orange-and-White Fall World Series on Wednesday night due to inclement weather.
Rain pushed the first pitch time back from 6 p.m. ET to 6:15 p.m. ET. But a light rain continued until start time and then picked up in the first two innings of the game. The game went into a rain delay in the bottom of the second inning and they cancelled the game all together shortly afterward.
Team White led Team Orange 1-0 in the bottom of the second inning thanks to a solo home run from freshman Levi Clark off of Nate Snead. The junior pitcher was very solid beside that, retiring four of the other five batters he faced with all four outs coming on strikeouts.
Ole Miss transfer pitcher Liam Doyle was dominant in two innings pitched for Team White. He struck out five of the six batters he faced while inducing a weak grounder back to him for the other out.
