Tennessee announced four captains for the Kentucky game this Saturday on Friday afternoon.
Two of the four captains are first-time captain picks this season.
Tennessee’s four include TE Miles Kitselman, OL Dayne Davis, DL Bryson Eason, and DB Jourdan Thomas.
Kitselman was previously a captain during Tennessee’s game against Arkansas while Davis took the role during the Vols’ second home game against Kent State.
This will be Eason’s first game as a captain this year but the senior lineman has been a productive force for the Vols’ defensive front all season. Eason is also a player who has frequently spoken with the media during availabilities this year.
Thomas, on the other hand, is also a first-time captain this season despite not stepping on the field. The Vols’ junior defensive back suffered a season-ending knee injury early in training camp and is out for the season. Thomas’s teammates have spoken highly of his ability to stay involved with the team despite the injury that he sustained.
