Tennessee basketball takes the court in its final tuneup before the beginning of the regular season on Sunday afternoon when they face Indiana in a charity exhibition game in Knoxville. The proceeds for the game go to the John McLendon Foundation.
Both teams are preseason top 20 teams and are breaking in a number of new key players. Tennessee is coming off the best season in program history. Indiana is looking to bounce back after a disappointing season.

Prediction:
It’s hard to get a feel for these exhibition games. Last season, Arkansas beat Purdue in an exhibition game and went on to be one of the worst teams in the SEC while Purdue made the National Championship game.
Then add on the fact that both Tennessee and Indiana have three projected starters that transferred in this offseason. While watching Tennessee practice has given me a feel for what they will look like, I have little feel for what the Hoosiers will look like.
I will tell you the matchup I’m most excited to watch— Felix Okpara versus Oumar Ballo. Ballo is one of the best centers in the country. Okpara feels poised for a breakout season. I’m excited to see what he looks like against the talented and proven center.
As a whole, I think Tennessee is the better team straight up and at home. The exhibitions are typically more high scoring too. I’ll say the Vols get it done.
Tennessee 84, Indiana 75
