Tennessee football is back in action this Saturday as the Vols host rival Alabama at Neyland Stadium on the Third Saturday in October. With the Vols preparing for a conference bout, that means there’s another week of full availability reports ahead of the game.

The availability report is new this season and is effectively an injury report that each team releases every night up until kickoff. The final availability report comes out 90 minutes before kickoff on game day.

Tennessee suffered a major injury blow when linebacker Keenan Pili suffered a season ending knee injury. The Vols also have a couple players whose status for the game is up in the air including starting defensive back Christian Harrison who missed last week’s game against Florida. Alabama also has a handful of players whose status is up in the air for the rivalry showdowm.

With that, let’s take a look at the Tennessee-Alabama Wednesday availability report including some notes on the report for both teams.

Tennessee Availability Report

OUT

– S Jourdan Thomas

– LB Edwin Spillman

– LB Keenan Pili

QUESTIONABLE

– RB Cameron Seldon

PROBABLE

– OT Lance Heard

Tennessee Notes

Christian Harrison didn’t show up on Tennessee’s availability report despite not playing on Saturday against Florida. Dont’e Thornton also excluded from the injury report after playing very few snaps against the Gators.

Cam Seldon is listed as questionable and has been in-and-out of the lineup this season for Tennessee. He missed the Vols’ games against NC State and Kent State but has played very little since returning from injury. De’Sean Bishop has largely snagged his backup running back spot and Seldon has mostly just played on special teams.

Heard is probable but has had injury issues this season too missing the Vols’ wins over Kent State and Oklahoma. The starting left tackle has struggled badly the last two games. Dayne Davis or Larry Johnson could play in his place if he’s unable to go.

Alabama Availability Report

OUT

– LB Cayden Jones

QUESTIONABLE

– Yhonzae Pierre

PROBABLE

– DB Domani Jackson

– WR Kendrick Law

– WR Kobe Prentice

Alabama Notes

Domani Jackson is the biggest injury to watch here though he is still probable. He’s a starting safety for the Crimson Tide and has played in all six games while recording two interceptions. One of the best players in Alabama’s secondary.

Kobe Prentice is Alabama’s third receiver and has totaled eight catches for 107 yards and a touchdown this season. He suffered an injury early in the Vanderbilt game and missed last week’s matchup with South Carolina. Kendrick Law is a reserve.

Yhonzae Pierre is an edge rusher who’s played just 42 snaps in five games while Jones is a reserve who’s been out for each of the last three games.
