Former Tennessee lineman Trey Smith was fired up after the Vols’ huge Top 15 win over Oklahoma this past Saturday night in Norman, OK.

“ALL WE KNOW IS GO DAMN VOLS,” Smith tweeted out after the game.

Smith has been a constant supporter of Tennessee Athletics since leaving for the NFL in 2021, but the Vols’ win on Saturday meant a little something extra with the former Oklahoma teammates he has on the Chiefs roster.

Smith posted a video to social media on Wednesday night of three of his Kansas City teammates wearing the Vols’ 151 orange as a bet payoff from the game: offensive lineman Creed Humphrey, long snapper James Winchester, and former Tennessee transfer Wanya Morris.

The former Vol posted a picture of Humphrey wearing a Tennessee shirt and a video of his teammates wearing the orange with Rocky Top playing in the background, hardly heard over the sound of Smith’s laughter and taunts behind the camera.

“What an awful color, made me throw up after putting it on,” Humphrey, an Oklahoma lineman from 2017-2020, replied to Smith’s post on X.

“It looks good on ya!” Smith replied.

Morris replied to Smith’s post with three crying laughing emojis.

Former Tennessee lineman and retired Steelers lineman Ramon Foster got in on the fun, too.

The host of Ramon, Kayla, and Will on 104.5 The Zone in Nashville quote tweeted Smith’s post with alternating orange and white hearts and the caption, “Walkeed in their trap and took over their trap,” with a crying laughing emoji.

Smith and his teammates are 3-0 on the season after the Chiefs’ first three games. Kansas City will take on Jim Harbaugh’s Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday afternoon before hosting Alvin Kamara’s Saints for Monday Night Football on Oct. 7.

Former Vol Trey Smith was recognized for heroic actions during a tragic event in February at a WWE show this past April.

Back in February, Smith’s actions were documented as he comforted and protected a young boy during the shooting at the Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade. Smith told Good Morning America in February that after the shots had been fired and the chaos ensued, he found the boy, Joey Borgonzi, and escorted him to safety. The boy was understandably shaken up, but the former Vol found common ground with him through the sport of professional wrestling. Smith and Borgonzi talked about their favorite wrestlers as first responders worked hard to clear the scene.

WWE honored Smith, Humphrey, and the Borgonzi family with an in-ring celebration before Monday Night RAW in April.

Tennessee Football has an open date this week but will return to SEC play when they travel to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks on Oct. 5 in Fayetteville, AR.
