Four-star offensive lineman Douglas Utu flipped his commitment from Tennessee football to Oregon football on Thursday morning. Utu previously committed to Tennessee and June before eventually flipping his commitment.

Utu was the third highest ranked recruit in Tennessee’s 2025 recruiting class, coming in at the No. 69 player and No. 2 interior offensive lineman according to the 247sports composite rankings. A Las Vegas native who attends Bishop Gorman, Utu is a west coast kid who flipped from Tennessee to one of the top west coast programs. He also ranks as the top player in Nevada.

With Utu flipping to Oregon, Tennessee football’s 2025 recruiting class currently contains three offensive line commits including five-star offensive tackle David Sanders, four-star interior offensive lineman Nic Moore and three-star Antoni Kade Ogumoro.
Sanders isn’t only the highest rated commit in Tennessee football’s 2025 recruiting class but he also ranks as the No. 2 player in the entire country.
Despite Utu’s de-commitment, Tennessee football’s recruiting class still ranks No. 7 nationally and No. 6 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
