NFL odds for Week 4: Four prime-time matchups on deck

Following is the complete NFL Week 4 schedule, with kickoff times, early-week sportsbook consensus odds and a brief glance at each of the 16 contests, beginning with …

Dallas Cowboys (-4.5, 45) at New York Giants, 8:15 p.m. ET Thursday (Amazon Prime Video)

Dallas has owned this NFC East series of late, winning 13 of the last 14 meetings and covering in 11 of them.

Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers (-2.5, 43.5), 1 p.m. Sunday

It’s a captivating QB matchup pitting the surprising Sam Arnold against Jordan Love, who is expected to return from a two-game absence, and these two NFC North foes have split the head-to-head SU and ATS series in each of the last four seasons.

New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons (-1.5, 42.5), 1 p.m. Sunday

We get another key divisional matchup here as New Orleans tries to add to its recent run of dominance having won 10 of the last 13 meetings SU.

Denver Broncos at New York Jets (-7.5, 38.5), 1 p.m. Sunday

Rookie QB Bo Nix and the Broncos broke through with a big upset win in Week 3, but even more will be needed to keep it close this Sunday if 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers is anywhere close to his sparkling Week 3 form.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans (-6.5, 45.5), 1 p.m. Sunday

Trevor Lawrence and the deeply disappointing Jags are one of three winless teams entering the week, and that isn’t good news facing the rival Texans who have won 16 of the last 20 head-to-head meetings.

Pittsburgh Steelers (-2, 40) at Indianapolis Colts, 1 p.m. Sunday

3-0 Pittsburgh takes the league’s top-ranked defense (8.7 points, 229.7 yards allowed per game) on the road to face struggling second-year QB Anthony Richardson (league-low 49.3 completion percentage, league-high 6 interceptions) and the 1-2 Colts.

Philadelphia Eagles (-2.5, 45) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 1 p.m. Sunday

This intriguing battle of two 2-1 NFC contenders is a playoff rematch from last January when Baker Mayfield and the Bucs romped to a 32-9 home wild-card win.

Cincinnati Bengals (-4.5, 48) at Carolina Panthers, 1 p.m. Sunday

Stunningly, the Panthers broke into the win column in Week 3 while Joe Burrow and the Bengals did not, setting the stage for a Red Rifle Reunion Game as Carolina QB Andy Dalton faces his former team.

Los Angeles Rams at Chicago Bears (-3, 41), 1 p.m. Sunday

Coach Sean McVay’s injury-ravaged Rams notched their first win in Week 3 and now travel to Chicago to take on top pick Caleb Williams and the 1-2 Bears.

Washington Commanders at Arizona Cardinals (-3.5, 50.5), 4:05 p.m. Sunday

The highest total on the Week 4 board is justified here with the dangerous Kyler Murray and Week 3 rookie sensation Jayden Daniels piloting two of the league’s five highest-scoring offenses so far.

New England Patriots at San Francisco 49ers (-10, 39.5), 4:05 p.m. Sunday

It’s an inter-conference matchup of two 1-2 teams, but oddsmakers have a heavy lean toward the health-depleted 49ers in what could stand as the first double-digit spread of the season.

Kansas City Chiefs (-8, 39) at Los Angeles Chargers, 4:25 p.m. Sunday

Patrick Mahomes are 3-0 despite a modest plus-13 point differential, but they’re big road favorites in Week 4 against a banged-up Chargers team that could be without injured QB Justin Herbert due to a high ankle sprain.

Cleveland Browns at Las Vegas Raiders (-1, 37.5), 4:25 p.m. Sunday

It’s a brutal, on-paper matchup for struggling QB Deshaun Watson and the Browns facing pass-rushing powerhouse Max Crosby with a depleted offensive line surrendering pressure at a league-high rate of 36.9 percent.

Buffalo Bills at Baltimore Ravens (-2.5, 46.5), 8:20 p.m. Sunday (NBC, Peacock)

Lamar Jackson and the 1-2 Ravens are favored against the 3-0 Bills despite owning a league-worst passing defense (291.7 yards allowed per game) which will be tasked with slowing QB Josh Allen and the league’s highest-scoring offense (37.3 points).

Tennessee Titans (-1, 37) at Miami Dolphins, 7:30 p.m. Monday (ESPN)

So the winless Titans are favored in a road prime-time game? That’s the sad state of affairs for the 1-2, Tua Tagovailoa-less Dolphins who are last in the league in scoring so far at 11 points per outing.

Seattle Seahawks at Detroit Lions (-4, 47), 8:15 p.m. Monday (ABC, ESPN+)

3-0 Seattle is catching more than a field goal on the road despite having won outright in the Motor City as an underdog in each of the last two seasons.
