SEC Shorts, the wildly popular comedy series about SEC football games, dropped a new video on Monday showing a meeting of all six Top 10 SEC Teams. Despite the crowded group, the red-hot Vols showed confidence throughout the short by poking fun at some of their dominating scores so far this year and sending a warning to Oklahoma prior to this weekend’s game.
With the SEC leading all conferences in ranked teams and teams in the top 10, it is safe to say the conference is back to its full strength. With 7 undefeated teams in the Top 15, hope is still high for a potential playoff berth in the first year of the 12-team installation. Those hopes are especially high on Rocky Top as the Vols face their toughest test this upcoming weekend in Norman.
There were so many moments of tension throughout this meeting of the teams, but a few stood out over the rest. The video began with a host of the schools laughing directly at Georgia for their 13-12 near misstep at Kentucky. The Bulldogs barely escaped Lexington after a subpar offensive showing as 21.5-point favorites.
Another moment that caused chaos was when Texas was asked about their QB room. When announcing Arch Manning as this week’s starter due to Quinn Ewers’ abdominal injury, alarms sounded announcing Manning’s Heisman candidacy and alerted the phones of all the teams. Manning stepped in during the second quarter of last Saturday’s game vs UTSA, accounting for five total touchdowns in the blowout win.
The short also made sure to include the meeting of dumpster fire teams, which showed Florida, Mississippi State, and Vanderbilt. While Tennessee’s upcoming opponent Oklahoma was not included in the video, odds are there will be some Josh Heupel-related humor on both teams behalf in next week’s episode.
