Two Tennessee football position coaches met with the media on Tuesday morning in Knoxville as the No. 6 Vols prepare to take on No. 15 Oklahoma this weekend in Norman.
The Vols are red-hot with a 3-0 record entering conference play but face their toughest test yet this weekend. Oklahoma hasn’t played their best football over the last two weeks but the Sooners are still undefeated with home-field advantage and a dynamic quarterback, which are nothing to underestimate.
Tennessee running back coach De’Rail Sims led off the media sessions on Tuesday as he spoke about Dylan Sampson’s leadership and on-field success, DeSean Bishop’s work ethic, what he liked from Peyton Lewis last week, Oklahoma’s defense, and more.
Following Sims was Tennessee linebackers coach Willia Inge, who talked about the challenge of containing Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold, the versatility of Tennessee’s linebacker depth, Edwin Spillman’s progression, and more.
Tennessee also had four players speak to the media on Tuesday including OL Cooper Mays, DL Omari Thomas, DL Jaxson Moi, and S Andre Turrentine.
