Tennessee returns to Knoxville after a 41-point victory over NC State in Charlotte last weekend as the Vols prepare to host Kent State this Saturday night.
Tennessee opened their season with a 69-3 victory over Chattanooga before defeating then-No. 24 NC State 51-10 in the Duke’s Mayo Classic in Week 2. Kent State, meanwhile, is still looking for their first win of the season after losing to Pittsburgh in the season opener and FCS opponent St. Francis PA in Week 2.
After passing their first true season test with the Wolfpack last weekend, Tennessee will have one final tune-up with Kent State before going on the road for the conference opener against Oklahoma next weekend.
One interesting note to watch for: Tennessee has yet to allow an opposing offense into the endzone this season. Look for that to continue this Saturday night against the Golden Flashes.
