Tennessee football returns to Neyland Stadium on Saturday night where they’re hosting MAC foe Kent State in its finale tuneup before the start of SEC play.

As of Friday morning, the Vols are currently 49-point favorites over Kent State and the over/under is set at 62.5 according to the DraftKings Sportsbook.  The line has slightly moved in Tennessee’s favor over the course of the week. Tennessee opened up as 47.5-point favorites earlier this week while the over/under has stayed same all week.

Tennessee is both 2-0 outright and 2-0 against the spread so far this season. The Vols have covered the spread by a combined 60 points in the two games. The over has hit in both of the Vols’ games this season.

Kent State is 0-2 against the spread this season failing to cover in matchups against Pittsburgh and St. Francis. The over and under have each hit in one Kent State game this season. Not only is Kent State 0-2 against the spread this season but they’re also 0-2 outright.

The Golden Flashes losing to Pitt to open the season was no surprise but Kent State was big favorites against FCS St. Francis on Saturday before losing 23-17.

Kent State was one of the worst teams in the entire FBS last season, posting just a 1-11 record with its only win coming against a FCS team. With the Golden Flashes already dropping their game against a FCS opponent, they look like they’re headed towards another terrible season.

Kickoff between Tennessee and Kent State is at 7:45 p.m. ET on Saturday night at Neyland Stadium. Tom Hart, Jordan Rodgers and Cole Cubelic are on the call for the SEC Network.
