Jones ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 253 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Irvine native ranks as the No. 28 player in the state of California and the No. 20 edge rusher in the 2026 recruiting cycle. 247sports own rankings are even higher on Jones, ranking him as the No. 175 player in his recruiting class.

It is still extremely early in the 2026 recruiting cycle and Jones hasn’t taken a single visit to any of the schools in his top five. He has taken a single visit to both Cal and Oregon but neither school ended up making his top group.
If Tennessee is going to become a serious player for the California native, they’ll need to get him on campus multiple times over the next year. The Vols have recruited edge rusher better than any position other than quarterback under Josh Heupel including a pair of four-stars in the 2025 recruiting cycle.
Tennessee football’s 2026 recruiting class currently contains two commitments with both five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon and four-star tight end Carson Sneed both committing to the Vols last month.
The Vols’ two-commit 2026 recruiting class currently ranks No. 15 nationally according to the 247sports team rankings.
