With Tennessee going with their all-white Stormtrooper look this Saturday against NC State, the Wolfpack will be going with a white-and-red combination of their own.
Despite having black jerseys and helmets in their uniform rolodex, NC State will be going with white helmets, red jerseys, and white pants against the Volunteers. Both NC State and Tennessee will match their helmets and pants with just the jersey colors separating the two teams.

More from RTI: Three Keys as Tennessee Football Faces NC State In Charlotte
Unfortunately, this all means that we won’t be getting a recreation of the outstanding uniform matchup the last time these teams played each other in 2012.
Competing in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, Tennessee wore their traditional orange-and-white home uniforms in the Georgia Dome. NC State, on the other hand, wore their alternate home all-red uniforms with red helmets, red jerseys, and red pants. It may be an unpopular opinion, but this color-on-color matchup worked well between the non-conference foes.
Tennessee receiver Cordarelle Patterson scored two first-quarter touchdowns, one rushing and one receiving from Tyer Bray, as the Vols held onto a 35-21 victory over the Wolfpack.
No. 14 Tennessee (1-0) and No. 24 NC State (1-0) will clash at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC. Both teams are looking to avoid their first loss after the Wolfpack defeated Western Carolina 38-21 and Tennessee defeated Chattanooga 69-3 in Week 1 action.
