It’s still very early in the 2026 recruiting cycle but McCoy hasn’t taken a visit to Tennessee yet. If the Vols are going to be serious players in McCoy’s recruitment then they need to get the blue-chip defensive lineman on campus. To date, McCoy has taken five visits to instate Ole Miss and one visit each to LSU and Southern Cal.

Tennessee football’s 2026 recruiting class currently has just two commitments and landed both of them back in August. Five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon became the Vols’ first commit in the 2026 recruiting cycle and four-star tight end Carson Sneed committed to Josh Heupel and his staff later in the month.

The Vols’ 2026 recruiting class currently ranks No. 15 nationally and No. 8 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.

Tennessee football’s 2-25 recruiting class currently contains five defensive line commits including four-stars Mariyon Dye, Ethan Utley and Jayden Loftin and three-stars Darrion Smith and Charles House.
