Tennessee football took care of business in a dominant week one win against Chattanooga, but life gets much more difficult for the Vols next week when they head to Charlotte for a neutral site matchup against North Carolina State.

Tennessee enters the week two matchup 1-0 on the season after dominating Chattanooga 69-3 in its season opener at Neyland Stadium. The Vols are also 1-0 against the spread the season with the over hitting in their blowout win.

The Wolfpack are also off to a 1-0 start to the season after defeating Western Carolina in its season opener on Thursday night. But North Carolina State was much less convincing in the win than Tennessee was. NC State trailed its instate FCS foe entering the fourth quarter before pulling ahead to win 38-21. North Carolina State is 0-1 against the spread so far this season and the under hit in its season opening victory.
The week two matchup between Tennessee and North Carolina State was one of the handful of Volunteer games that had a line during the summer. Tennessee opened as five-point favorites in the matchup over the summer with the line slightly moving in the Vols’ direction after each team’s season opener.
Kickoff between Tennessee and North Carolina State is at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. ABC is broadcasting the prime time matchup.
