It’s almost football time in Tennessee with the Vols set to kick off their 2024 season against Chattanooga. Tennessee hasn’t released an official injury report for the game but a handful of reserves were not dressed out including Edwin Spillman, William Wright and Masai Reddick.

Freshmen linebacker Edwin Spillman and Jordan Burns are both not dressed out for the game. Burns was injured throughout fall camp though Spillman was active at least until practice became closed to the media. Spillman is a third team linebacker on Tennessee’s depth chart while Burns is not on the three deep.

On the offensive line, both underclassmen guards Masai Reddick and Gus Hill were not dressed out. Neither player is in Tennessee’s two-deep on the offensive line so the injuries are not significant blows to Tennessee.

Third string cornerback William Wright is not dressed out for the game. It is a year of transition for Tennessee’s cornerback room but sophomores Rickey Gibson, Jermod McCoy and Jordan Matthews are all ahead of Wright as well as Temple transfer Jalen McMurray. With Wright out, freshman cornerback Kaleb Beasley could get more run if Tennessee takes care of business in blowout fashion.

Kickoff between Tennessee and Chattanooga is at 12:45 p.m. ET. Taylor Zarzour, Matt Stinchcomb and Alyssa Lang are on the call for the SEC Network.
