Slaughter played four seasons at Tennessee and continued to elevate his game each year of his career. Slaughter recorded 32 tackles in 2023, 31 in 2022, 16 in 2021, and eight in 2020. Slaughter’s versatility on the field allowed him to play all three defensive back positions during his time in Knoxville.
Nichols was a consensus four-star prospect in the 2022 class and spent two years (2022-2023) with the Vols’ program. The Norcross, GA, native didn’t see the field much as a freshman but had an expanded special teams and rotational role during the 2023 season.
Tennessee also released its Week 1 depth chart on Monday, which you can find here.
