Four-star cornerback Onis Konanbanny committed to Tennessee football over Florida State and other contenders on Friday afternoon.
Landing the 6-foot-1, 180-pound cornerback keeps Tennessee football red hot on the recruiting trail. The Vols have landed 15 total commits including 13 in the 2025 recruiting cycle since the start of the summer. August has particularly been good to Tennessee with Konanbanny representing the fifth commitment of the month.
Konanbanny ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 302 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. Playing his high school football at Columbia’s Heathwood Hall Episcopal School, Konanbanny ranks as the No. 4 player in the state of South Carolina and the No. 28 cornerback nationally in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Three-stars Tre Poteat, Dylan Lewis and Tyler Redmond are the Vols other cornerback commits. Heupel and his staff also landed commitments from four-star safety Lagonza Hayward and three-star safety Sidney Walton.
