Tennessee continued an impressive two-day stretch on the recruiting trail Sunday by flipping four-star Alabama commit Jaedon Harmon, as first reported by On3 Sports’ Hayes Fawcett.
Harmon is a talented linebacker in the 2025 class from Rome, GA. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound prospect followed up Fawcett’s report by thanking the Alabama coaching staff and reaffirming his decision to flip to Tennessee.
“I want to thank the entire Alabama staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play for a great great program! Respect my decision,” Harmon penned to social media while tagging Tennessee linebacker coach William Inge and head coach Josh Heupel. “#GBO”
Harmon ranks as a consensus four-star prospect and comes in as the No. 155 player overall, the No. 18 linebacker in the class, and the No. 19 player from the state of Georgia, according to 247’s Composite rankings.
Harmon is the second 2025 prospect that Tennessee has flipped this summer following four-star Oreton tight-end DaSaahn Brame.
Harmon recorded 80 tackles, eight tackles for loss, five sacks, three pass breakups, and one interception during his junior season at Rome High School. The talented linebacker shows off excellent speed in coverage and has the ability to throw down a big hit downhill. Harmon’s physicality can also be seen as he powers through offensive linemen and blockers in pursuit of the quarterback.
Harmon helped lead Rome to an 11-2 record in 2023 with an appearance in the quarterfinals of Georgia’s 5A playoffs. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution named Harmon an All-State selection following the season.
