Tennessee secondary coach Willie Martinez met with the media on Monday morning in Knoxville after the Vols wrapped up their 10th fall camp practice. The days are starting to wind down in fall camp as the season-opener approaches on Aug. 31.
The Vols will boast a new-look secondary this season with significant turnover from the DB room last year. The Vols brought in a handful of productive players from the transfer portal but are also looking to elevate some of their younger players who have been waiting and learning throughout the years.
Two Tennessee veterans and one newcomer also met with the media on Monday with returners Will Brooks and Christian Charles and transfer DB Jermod McCoy.
McCoy comes to Tennessee after one year at Oregon State in which he led the Beavers in passes defended (9). McCoy is an athletic, instinctual cornerback that many in the program are high on heading into his sophomore season.
