Four-star shooting guard Dante Allen included Tennessee basketball in his top four on Thursday night, 24/7 High School Hoops first reported. The Vols joined Georgia, Notre Dame and Villanova in Allen’s top group.

Allen ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 77 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Miami native ranks as the No. 12 shooting guard and the No. 12 player in the state of Florida in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound guard played his junior prep season at the Riviera Preparatory School where he helped lead the Bulldogs to a 25-8 record. However, Allen transferred schools this offseason and plans to attend Montverde Academy this year.

Tennessee is the only school in Allen’s top four that he has yet to either visit or set up a visit to. Allen took an unofficial visit to Villanova and an official visit to Notre Dame in the fall in June. The strong guard has an official visit scheduled to Georgia at the end of this month and an official visit scheduled to Villanova in September.

Tennessee basketball currently holds one commit in its 2025 recruiting class and it comes from four-star center DeWayne Brown. The Hoover, Alabama native committed to the Vols over Mississippi State back in April. Brown’s commitment is good enough to give Tennessee the No. 20 recruiting class in the 2025 recruiting cycle according to the 247sports team rankings.

In the new transfer portal era it is difficult to project how many scholarships that Tennessee will have to work with next offseason. But the Vols will definitively lose six seniors off their roster next season— Zakai Zeigler, Jahmai Mashack, Jordan Gainey and incoming transfers Chaz Lanier, Darlinstone Dubar and Igor Milicic.
