Tennessee has done plenty to renovate Neyland Stadium in recent years since Danny White took over as Director of Athletics. Most of those changes have come by renovating the stadium, adding a video board and adding lights to help upgrade the game day experience inside Neyland Stadium.

But some of those changes have been throwbacks like when Tennessee added the “V O L S” letters to the south end zone before the 2022 season.

Now ahead of the 2024 season, Tennessee football is adding another throwback “Vols” signage to Neyland Stadium. On the east side press box at Neyland Stadium, Tennessee has added signage that say “HOME OF THE VOLS.”

It’s a throwback to a sign that Tennessee had on the press box at Neyland Stadium during the 70s and 80s. The sign is expected to have lights on it.

With some cool throwback additions to Neyland Stadium comes new corporate sponsors as well. According to Football Scoop’s John Brice, Tennessee is naming the party deck in the north end zone the “Yee Haw Party Deck” which is debuting a new “Volunteer Lager.”

Tennessee added the party deck in the upper deck of the north end zone along with the new video board ahead of the 2022 season. Since the 2022 season, Tennessee is 13-1 inside Neyland Stadium with its lone loss coming against No. 1 Georgia last November.

The Vols have a manageable seven-game home schedule for the 2024 season that includes non conference matchups against Chattanooga, Kent State and UTEP as well as SEC matchups against Florida, Alabama, Kentucky and Mississippi State.

Tennessee opens up Josh Heupel’s fourth season as head coach against UT-Chattanooga on Aug. 31 at Neyland Stadium. It’ll mark the return of the “HOME OF THE VOLS” on the east press box.
