The MLB Draft came to a close just one week ago and with Kavares Tears signing with the San Diego Padres on Wednesday all eight Vols selected have signed their professional deals.
The signing bonus details for the seven other players besides Tears are public while we’re still waiting to see what Tears signing bonus will be.
Tennessee lost eight key players to the MLB Draft including the top four hitters in its lineup, one weekend starting pitcher and two of its top bullpen arms. All eight Vols were taken in the first eight rounds of the MLB Draft with four of them going in the first two rounds.
Of the seven draft picks whose signing bonuses are public three signed under slot value, two signed right at their slot value and two signed slightly over slot value.

Why did Christian Moore sign for approximately $1.5 million LESS THAN his slot value?
Same question regarding Blake Burke?
