Tennessee Football Predicted To Flip Four-Star Tight End

Tennessee football finished runner up for blue-chip tight end Da’Saahn Brame late last month when he committed to Oregon over the Vols.

But Josh Heupel and the Vols didn’t go away in his recruitment and they might just land the four-star recruit after all. Both On3’s Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong put in predictions for Brame to flip his commitment from Oregon to Tennessee on Monday.

Brame ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 112 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Derby native also ranks as the No. 4 player in the state of Kansas and the No. 5 tight end in the country in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

The 6-foot-6, 235-pound tight end took official visits to LSU, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon and Tennessee back in late May though mid June. Brame’s last two visits were to Tennessee and then Oregon. The Vols seemingly had the momentum ahead of Brame’s commitment date but Oregon survived Tennessee’s push to land the blue-chip recruit.

Four-star Tennessee quarterback commit George MacIntyre hinted at the Vols landing a surprise commit over the weekend and Brame would match with that prediction.

Tennessee football’s 2025 recruiting class currently contains 18 commitments including from four-star tight end Jack Van Dorselaer— one of the Vols’ first commits in the 2025 cycle.

Josh Heupel and his staff are on a hot streak on the recruiting trail at the moment. Tennessee has landed eight commits since the start of June and two commits in the last week and a half. Four-star safety target Lagonza Hayward is announcing his college commitment next Saturday, July 27 and the Vols are top contenders for a numbe rof other blue-chip recruits with upcoming commitments.

Tennessee’s 18 commit 2025 recruiting class currently ranks No. 10 nationally according to the 247sports team rankings. Flipping Brame from Oregon would push the Vols’ class to No. 8 nationally and No. 5 in the SEC.
