Gass ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 203 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Covington native also ranks as the No. 22 linebacker and No. 31 player in the state of Georgia in the 2025 recruiting cycle.
On3 sports is higher on Gass than any other recruiting site, ranking him as the No. 85 overall player and No. 6 linebacker in his recruiting class.

While Gass is down to three schools ahead of his commitment date, he also took official visits to Florida and Kentucky earlier this summer before cutting his list to three. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound inside linebacker has taken two visits to Tennessee in 2024 including an unofficial visit in April and an official visit in June. Gass has taken two visits to Georgia in 2024 and one to Southern Cal.
According to both the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine and the 247sports crystal ball predictions, Tennessee is viewed as the favorite to land the four-star linebacker.
Tennessee football’s 2025 recruiting class currently contains 17 commits but none of them are from inside linebacker. That’s what makes the Vols pursuit of Gass so important. Tennessee is also in pursuit of current Georgia linebacker commit Jadon Perlotte.
The Vols’ 17-commit 2025 recruiting class currently ranks No. 12 nationally and No. 6 in the SEC. A commitment from Gass would propel Tennessee’s recruiting class to No. 9 nationally and it would stay at No. 6 in the SEC.
