Four-star combo guard Acaden Lewis released his top eight including Tennessee basketball on Wednesday morning. Auburn, Connecticut, Duke, Michigan, North Carolina, Kentucky and Syracuse joined the Vols in Lewis’ top group.

Lewis ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 47 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. A Washington D.C. native, Lewis ranks as the No. 9 combo guard and the No. 2 player in the District of Columbia in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

A 6-foot-2, 170-pound guard, Lewis plays at Sidwell Friends School where the Quakers posted a 27-4 record and won the DCSAA AA Championship last season.

North Carolina and Connecticut are the only schools in Lewis’ top eight that the blue-chip recruit has visited to date. He’s taken a lone visit to each school and has an official visit to North Carolina scheduled in the fall.

Tennessee basketball’s 2025 recruiting class currently contains one commitment to date— four-star center DeWayne Brown. Brown is a Hoover, Alabama native who committed to Tennessee over Mississippi State back in April and ranks as the No. 98 player and No. 13 center in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings.

With just one commit currently, Tennessee’s 2025 recruiting class ranks No. 17 nationally according to the 247sports team rankings.
