Four-star pass rusher Mariyon Dye committed to Tennessee football over Michigan, Ohio State and Purdue on Friday afternoon.

“I’m home, Go Vols!” Dye tweeted.

Dye ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 150 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. A Elkhart, Indiana native, Dye ranks as the No. 14 edge rusher and the No. 3 player in the state of Indiana in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

On3 sports is higher on Dye than any other recruiting service, ranking the edge rusher as the No. 40 player and the No. 5 edge rusher in the entire country.

The 6-foot-5, 270-pound edge rusher committed to Tennessee just a week after taking an official visit to Knoxville. Dye’s official visit to Tennessee was his last of four in late May and end to June with the blue-chip recruit taking official visits to Purdue, Michigan and Ohio State in the weeks prior to his trip to Knoxville.

Dye’s official visit to Tennessee was his third in his last year taking an unofficial visit for the Georgia game in November and an unofficial visit in April.

Tennessee football is on a strong recruiting stretch, now landing six commitments in the last two and a half weeks. Dye is the Vols’ third defensive line commit in their 2025 recruiting class alongside four-star Ethan Utley and three-stars Jayden Loftin and Charles House. Both Loftin and House committed to Tennessee earlier this month. Utley, a Nashville native who stars at the Ensworth School, committed to Tennessee back in March.

The Vols’ 2025 recruiting class now contains 16 commitments and ranks No. 10 nationally and No. 5 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
