Tennessee’s Dylan Dreiling launched a towering home run past the right-field bullpen late in Game 2 of the College World Series finals on Sunday afternoon, proving to be the late-game difference in the Vols evening up the series to force a winner-take-all Game 3.

With Tennessee scoreless through the first six innings of the game, the Vols were looking to even up the scoreboard after Texas A&M’s lone run came in the first inning on a Jake LaViolette solo shot. Dreiling was looking for more, though.

As Christian Moore stood on second base after drawing a walk to open the inning, Dreiling’s two-run home run gave Tennessee the 2-1 lead in the top of the seventh.

Texas A&M went three up and three down in the bottom of the seventh inning, keeping the game at 2-1 in favor of Tennessee with two frames to go.

The Vols added some insurance in the top of the eighth inning with a two-run home from Knoxville native Cal Stark. The Tennessee catcher’s home run over the left field bullpen scored shortstop Dean Curley who had reached from a single to centerfield earlier in the inning.

Both Dreiling and Stark’s home runs in the seventh and eighth innings came with two outs on the board.

No. 1 Tennessee defeated No. 3 Texas A&M in Game 2 of the College World Series finals by a score of 4-1 to set up a winner-take-all Game 3 on Monday night in Omaha.

Game 3 will take place at 7:00 p.m. ET on Monday night on ESPN.
