Tennessee’s Zander Sechrist and Dylan Loy may not have seen any action on the field on Friday night, but the two were “locked, absolutely locked in the bullpen” to make sure the “spots are hot.”
Sechrist and Loy spent a moment talking with Pencil Talk Podcast after the Vols’ win, adrenaline still pumping as the veteran and the newcomer began to head off field with backpacks on.
The duo made the most of their appearance on the field before heading to the locker room, though.
“I want to do the Ric Flair, like, you know he has the highhh-flyinggg, you know, Woo!” Sechrist exclaimed in the video.
In an instant, Sechrist turned it from him and Loy being interviewed to him interviewing his Tennessee teammate.

Loy and Sechrist are primed for action in the coming days of the 2024 Men’s College World Series as Tennessee is guaranteed at least two more games. Loy, a freshman from Pigeon Forge, TN, was recently named an NCBWA Freshman All-American as he prepares to make his College World Series debut.
Sechrist, on the other hand, has been an experienced starter for Tennessee over the past few years but has emerged as the Vols’ Sunday starter this year. Sechrist has been strong in his last few starts for the Vols and expects to take the mound after Tennessee’s game on Sunday.
Tennessee defeated Florida State with a comeback walk-off ninth inning on Friday night, sending them to the Sunday night game against North Carolina while the Seminoles move to an elimination game on Sunday afternoon against Virginia.
