Sanders is not only one of Josh Heupel and Tennessee football’s top targets in its 2025 recruiting class but is one of the top players in the entire class.
The 6-foot-6, 290-pound offensive tackle ranks as a five-star recruit and the No. 2 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. Sanders also ranks as the top offensive tackle and the top player in the state of North Carolina according to the rankings.
A Providence Day Standout in Charlotte, Sanders attends the same school that former Tennessee basketball star Grant Williams attended.

This is Sanders’ third of five official visits starting in late May and continuing into June. The blue-chip recruit visited Clemson and Georgia in the prior two weeks and visits Alabama and Ohio State later in June after his Tennessee visit.
Clemson, Ohio State and Tennessee are viewed as the top contenders for the elite prospect but Sanders’ top schools show that Heupel and his staff are fighting with the best programs in the country to land the nation’s No. 2 player.
While this week is Sanders’ official visit, the blue-chip prospect has been a frequent visitor in Knoxville throughout 2024. Sanders visited Tennessee three times this spring including in late May for its 865 Live weekend. Five-star Tennessee quarterback commit George MacIntyre was on campus for the 865 Live weekend and is also visiting Knoxville this weekend as he takes an active role recruiting the five-star.
Sanders has taken two unofficial visits to Clemson, Georgia and Ohio State as well as a lone official visit to Alabama during 2024.
Tennessee football’s 2025 recruiting class currently contains 11 commitments but just one of them— three-star Oklahoma offensive guard Antoni Kade Ogumoro— is an offensive lineman. The Vols’ 11-commit recruiting class ranks No. 19 nationally according to the 247sports team rankings.
