Four-star offensive lineman Josh Petty released his top five including Tennessee football on Tuesday night. The Vols joined Florida State, Georgia Tech, Ohio State and Stanford in Petty’s top group.

Petty is one of the top offensive linemen in the entire 2025 recruiting class. The Roswell, Georgia native ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 32 player in his recruiting cycle according to the 247sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-5, 262-pound offensive lineman ranks as the nation’s No. 5 offensive tackle and the No. 7 player in the state of Georgia.
While 247sports ranks Petty as a high four-star offensive tackle, On3 sports ranks the Georgia native s a five-star interior offensive lineman.

Petty is in the midst of his spring official visit circuit. The blue-chip recruit took an official visit to Stanford last week, is officially visiting Georgia Tech this week and is officially visiting Tennessee this weekend before visiting Ohio State and Florida State officially later this month.
One of the top offensive linemen in the 2025 recruiting cycle, Petty has taken three total visits to Tennessee prior to this weekend’s official visit including an unofficial visit for the Georgia game back in November.
Tennessee football’s 2025 recruiting class currently contains 10 commitments including from one offensive lineman— three-star Antonio Kade Ogumaro. The Vols’ 10-commit 2025 recruiting class currently ranks No. 18 nationally according to the 247sports team rankings.
