The Tennessee Volunteers have found great success under head coach Tony Vitello. Since taking over the program in 2018, Vitello has led the Vols to an overall record of 281-109, and a record of 109-71 in SEC play.
Tennessee has made the NCAA Tournament every year since 2019 (except in 2020 when the season was cancelled in March), and made it all the way to Omaha in 2021 and 2023. However, the program is still looking for its first national title.
Oddsmakers are confident in the Vols this season, as they are the odds-on favorites to win this year’s College World Series. More specifically, Tennessee has odds of +500 to win it all on DraftKings Sportsbook.
The Vols could have as many as six players taken in the first two rounds of the upcoming MLB Draft, and with that much talent on the roster, it’s hard not to like their chances at a national title in Omaha.
When betting on Tennessee to win the College World Series, keep in mind that odds are subject to change throughout the course of the SEC Tournament and NCAA Tournament. In addition, odds can vary from sportsbook to sportsbook. For example, Tennessee has national championship odds of +500 on DraftKings, but over on FanDuel Sportsbook, Tennessee’s odds are a bit longer at +600.
Tennessee Volunteers SEC Tournament odds: Vols looking for 5th SEC Tournament title
After finishing the regular season with an overall record of 46-10 and going 22-8 in SEC play, Tennessee won the SEC regular season title and earned the No. 1 seed in the SEC Tournament.
The conference tournament takes place from May 21-26, and Tennessee’s first game comes on Wednesday, May 22 against either Vanderbilt or Florida. Tennessee figures to be a heavy favorite against either team in that matchup.
Not surprisingly, Tennessee is favored to win the SEC Tournament with odds of +350 on FanDuel. However, Texas A&M is not far behind with odds of +360.
The Vols have won four conference tournaments in program history, with the last coming in 2022. In last year’s SEC tournament, Tennessee lost in the first round to Texas A&M by a score of 3-0. Needless to say, the Vols are looking for better results this time around.
