Tennessee football’s first test of the 2024 season comes in week two when the Vols travel to Charlotte to face North Carolina State in a neutral site matchup.
We now know the game time and broadcast details for what’s projected to be a top 25 matchup at Bank of America Stadium.
The matchup between Tennessee and North Carolina State will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Sept. 7. ABC is broadcasting the matchup.
Tennessee’s non conference test against the Wolfpack is ABC’s primetime game of week two of the college football season. The lead in game to Tennessee-North Carolina State is South Carolina’s road trip to face Kentucky in Lexington.

Other key week two games include Colorado-Nebraska, Texas-Michigan, Arkansas-Oklahoma State and Houston-Texas. Fox holds the broadcast rights to the first two games while ABC/ESPN holds the broadcast rights to the two final games.
Both Tennessee and North Carolina State are top 25 teams in the most way-too-early college football rankings. There’s an abundance of excitement around the Vols entering Nico Iamaleava’s first season as starting quarterback and the early season matchup will be his first true test.
The Wolfpack have consistently been solid but not great under head coach Dave Doeren. North Carolina State added Coastal Carolina quarterback transfer Grayson McCall to its roster this offseason and has solid talent again this coming season.
Tennessee opened as 5.5-point favorites against North Carolina State last week according to Draft Kings Sportsbook.
