Tennessee baseball couldn’t complete the weekend sweep of Vanderbilt over the weekend as the Vols fell 3-0 in Nashville on Sunday afternoon.
Commodore pitcher JD Thompson was great on the mound in six innings pitched and Tennessee’s bats fell completely silent as they totaled just three hits in its first shutout loss of the season.
With the loss, Tennessee falls to 42-10 (19-8 SEC) on the season and is one game out of first place in the conference standings entering the final week of the regular season.
