Game two will begin 45 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
Both games will be nine innings and will stream on SEC Network +.
Friday will be the first doubleheader of Tennessee’s season. The Vols played in three last year (vs. Morehead State, at Missouri, at South Carolina).
This weekend, the Vols are looking to bounce back from Tuesday night’s midweek loss to Lipscomb. It was Tennessee’s first midweek loss of the season. The rare loss ended a six-game winning streak for Tennessee which included a series sweep over Missouri and road series win over (then) third-ranked Kentucky.
The third-ranked Vols are second in the SEC East with a 15-6 conference record, sitting one game behind Kentucky, who holds a 16-5 league record.
Tennessee was originally going to be without star outfielder Kavares Tears in the series opener as he is day-to-day with a lower-body injury. Read more about Tears’ injury here. We will see when Tennessee posts their lineup for game one of Friday’s doubleheader if Tears is good to go.
