Four-star defensive lineman Christian Garrett will announce his college commitment on July 20, On3 sports first reported on Tuesday night.
Garrett ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 134 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Bogart, Georgia native also ranks as the 16th best defensive lineman and the No. 20 player in the Peach State in the 2025 recruiting cycle.
On3 sports is particularly high on the defensive lineman, ranking him as the No. 63 player and No. 5 defensive lineman in the country.
Garrett has been a frequent visitor on Tennessee’s campus throughout his recruitment. He visited Knoxville for the Vols’ matchups against Texas A&M and Georgia last fall before returning for an unofficial visit in March. Garrett has four official visits scheduled this summer with the final one being a trip to Tennessee on June 21.

The blue-chip defensive lineman also have official visits lined up to Clemson, Georgia and Georgia Tech. He’s taken two unofficial visits to Clemson and has visited the home state Bulldogs more than any other schools, six times in the last year.
The 6-foot-3, 280-pound defensive lineman will announce his college commitment a month after he takes his official visit to Tennessee.
Tennessee football’s 2025 recruiting class currently contains nine commits with one of them being a defensive lineman— four-star defensive end Ethan Utley.
The Vols’ nine-commit recruiting class currently ranks No. 14 nationally according to the 247sports team rankings.
