Tennessee has announced a trio of Tennessee figures who are set to throw out the first pitch during the three-game series against LSU this weekend in Knoxville.
According to the announcement, new Tennessee Lady Vols basketball head coach Kim Caldwell will toss out the first pitch during the Friday night game in Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Caldwell was announced as the fourth head coach in Lady Vols history on Sunday and had her opening press conference on Tuesday.
VFL Todd Helton will then throw out the first pitch for the Saturday game against the Tigers. Helton became the first player from the University of Tennessee to reach the Hall of Fame when he was voted in late January.
Last but not least, reigning SEC Player of the Year and future NBA first-round draft pick Dalton Knecht will throw out the first pitch before Sunday’s series finale at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Knecht helped lead Tennessee to their second Elite Eight appearance in a memorable year on Rocky Top.

Tennessee, the fourth-ranked team in the country, will host LSU this weekend in a key SEC matchup.
