Tennessee baseball’s offense exploded in this weekend’s three-game series victory at Auburn. After dropping the series opener 9-5 on Friday night, the Vols run-ruled their conference foe 12-2 on Saturday and 19-5 on Sunday.
The Vols have one of the nation’s best offense and it was on display in the offensive explosions against Auburn. Perhaps most impressively, Tennessee’s offense was fantastic while one of its best hitters, Billy Amick, missed the weekend series.
Winning two out of three games at Auburn over the weekend, Tennessee is 7-5 in conference play and has won three straight weekend series. The Vols hit the halfway point in SEC week this weekend when they face reigning National Champion LSU at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Knoxville.
