Four-star receiver Marcus Harris unofficially visited Tennessee football on Thursday around the Vols’ second scrimmage of spring practice, he shared on his X account.

A Santa Ana, California native, Harris ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 132 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The 5-foot-11 receiver ranks as the No. 17 receiver in his class and the No. 13 player in the state of California.

It is just Harris’ first visit to Tennessee and a serious step for the Vols to become a major player in the blue-chip receiver’s recruitment.

While this is Harris’ first visit to Tennessee, he plans to return to Knoxville before too long. The four-star recruit plans on officially visiting the Vols in early June.

It’s one of four official visits Harris has planned to date, he’ll also take trips to Alabama, Texas and Oregon in either late May or early June. Harris has taken four visits to Texas already, three visits to Oregon, four visits to USC and one visit to Alabama as well.

Tennessee football’s 2025 recruiting class currently contains seven commitments including from one receiver— three-star West Tennessee native Joakim Dodson. The Vols are top contenders for a number of receivers in this class thanks in large part due to the commitment of five-star quarterback George MacIntyre.

The Vols’ seven commit recruiting class currently ranks No. 14 nationally according to the 247sports team rankings.
