Tennessee Reveals Elite Eight Uniform Combination Against Purdue

Tennessee will take on Purdue in the Midwest Region Elite Eight this afternoon for the right to play in the Final Four next weekend in Phoenix.

Ahead of the game on Sunday afternoon, Tennessee’s social media team revealed the Vols’ uniforms for the matchup.

As the lower-seeded team in the matchup for the first time this tournament, Tennessee will wear their all-orange road uniforms against Purdue. The Vols wore their alternate Vols script uniforms for the win over Saint Peter’s and the win over Creighton but wore their traditional home all-white uniform in the win over Texas last weekend in Charlotte.

Tennessee reached the Elite Eight with a win over (3) Creighton on Friday night in Detroit while Purdue advanced to this round with a win over (5) Gonzaga in the Sweet 16. Both teams are looking to prove doubters wrong with a trip to the Final Four and a win over the other to close down the weekend in the Motor City.

Tennessee is led by SEC Player of the Year and Naismith Player of the Year finalist Dalton Knecht, who is averaging 21.2 points per game in the Vols’  35 games this season. Purdue, on the other hand, is led by 7-foot-4 Naismith Player of the Year finalist Zach Edey, who is averaging a whopping 24.6 points and 12.1 rebounds per game in the Boilermakers’ 36 games this season.

Purdue and Tennessee have met once already this year with the Boilermakers finding a win over the Volunteers, 71-67, in the 2023 Maui Invitational.
