(1) Purdue and (2) Tennessee will square off in an Elite Eight matchup on Sunday afternoon in Detroit with a spot in the Final Four on the line. The Boilermakers defeated (5) Gonzaga on Friday night to advance to the game while Tennessee took down (3) Creighton in the following game.
Purdue and Tennessee will tip off at 2:20 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon in Little Caesars Arena.
Ahead of the game on Thursday, Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes met with the media in Detroit to discuss a wide range of topics leading into the game. Barnes spoke about the challenges of Tennessee’s second-weekend timeline, preparing to play a First Team All-American in Zach Edey, his relationship with Pat Summitt, and much more.
