The Vols’ Midwest Region Semifinals matchup against Creighton is the second of two matchups in Detroit on Friday night. Purdue-Gonzaga is the first game of the night in Detroit and the two winners will meet on Sunday in the Elite Eight.
Purdue-Gonzaga tips off at 7:39 p.m. ET and the Tennessee-Creighton game will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game.
Rick Barnes’ ninth Tennessee team is back in the Sweet 16 for the second straight season after outlasting Texas 62-58 in an offensive slugfest on Saturday night. The Vols shot a horrid three-of-25 from three-point range but leaned on defense and rebounding to knock off the Longhorns on Saturday night.

Creighton was a part in a thrilling matchup itself in the Round of 32. They outlasted 11-seed Oregon 86-73 in double overtime in the Round of 32 on Saturday night. The Blue Jays are back in the Sweet 16 for the third time in four years and just a season after making a run to the Elite Eight before falling against San Diego State.
Greg McDermott’s 14th Creighton team boasts a three-headed monster on the offensive end with Trey Alexander, Baylor Scheierman and Ryan Kalkbrenner all averaging over 17 points per game. The Blue Jays are extremely efficient on the offensive end and shoots more threes than almost any team in the country.
Tennessee opened as 2.5-point favorites against the Blue Jays on Sunday according to Draft Kings. The over/under is set at 144.
