After a win over Saint Peter’s in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, Tennessee will look to advance to their second consecutive Sweet 16 with a victory over 7-seed Texas on Saturday night in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Tennessee and Texas will square off at 8:15 p.m. ET on CBS.

Tennessee wore their alternate Vols script jerseys for all three tournament games last season and the first-round game against Saint Peter’s. Not on Saturday, though.

Tennessee’s social media account posted a picture of the traditional home white jerseys from the arena on Saturday evening. The white jerseys have Tennessee on the upper line and Volunteers on the lower line with the jersey in between.

The Vols wore the traditional white jerseys in their loss to Mississippi State in the SEC Tournament last week in Nashville.

This will be the third straight year featuring a matchup between the Vols and the Longhorns, though the past two games have been home-and-homes during the SEC-Big 12 Challenge. When Texas visited Knoxville in 2023, Tennessee wore their alternate script jersey in the 82-71 win over the Longhorns.

Stay tuned to Rocky Top Insider on social media throughout the game for live updates from the Spectrum Center sideline in Charlotte.
